Well, the most effective mass growth will begin at all only during puberty (purely biologically - testosterone plays an important role).

In short, if you want your son to have an athletic physique, it is better to start with training , which will accustom him and his body to sports. This can be done even in first grade. And then he himself will understand when to pull up.
